Airtech's rubber section includes materials to fabricate reusable vacuum bags, pressure caul sheets, and both cured and uncured silicone and non-silicone elastomeric products. Rubber pressure caul sheets provide uniform pressure distribution during the autoclave process, creating near tool-side part quality on the vacuum bag side of the part and a smooth finish no matter how complex the surface. This uniform pressure also eliminates resin buildup, resin starvation, wrinkles, or bridging in complex shapes.
Non-silicone Airpadand Airpad HTX reinforced flexible mandrels and caul sheets make it easy to reduce part defects and increase bag side quality in fabrication. Flexible in nature, these rubber solutions are significantly easier to use than rigid caul systems. Airtech also offerslatex, silicone, and FKM rubber products,which can be used for reusable vacuum baggingfabrication in conjunction with our line of various different silicone seals.
