Description

Airflex 60 is an uncured silicone rubber which has been specially formulated for use as a pressure intensifier on complex shaped parts during vacuum bagging. It can also be used to provide vacuum bag protection from puncture due to bolt heads.

Uncured Airflex 60 can be applied over a release film on a prepreg lay-up, it will cure out in the early stages of cure and will then apply pressure intensification through prepreg curing stage. Alternatively, Airflex 60 can be cured out on its own at 120°C (248°F) in 20 minutes and then used as a cured intensifier over prepreg lay-ups.

Notes

• Airflex 60 should be cured on top of a release film or self-adhesive PTFE.

• Any silicone rubber has the potential to transfer and therefore silicone transfer investigations should be

carried out by the user.

• Airtech recommends testing to prior use.

• 5.2kg Rolls with polyethylene interleave.
