ToolPrep Solo is a low viscosity primer for preparation of tool surfaces to seal, protect and achieve high quality finish ready for release agent application. ToolPrep Solo is a spread on, leave on coating, which makes it easier and faster to apply over large and complex shaped molds. ToolPrep Solo has been developed for Dahltram 3D printed tooling, but can be applied to other types of mold surfaces to achieve a high gloss finish.

• Mold surface should be clean and free of any surface contamination.
• Apply between two and six coats of Toolprep Solo depending on the porosity of the tooling surface. Using a clean lint free cloth or paper towel, wipe on in a straight line overlapping between applied edges. Ensure to change cloth after each coating application.
• Allow a minimum of 15 minutes between each coat at room temperature. The surface should be completely dry and tack free before applying additional coats.
• Surfaces with extra porosity may require additional coats of primer. Allow a minimum of one hour after the final coat before applying a mold sealer or release agent.
• This product is moisture sensitive and should be stored in a sealed can with minimum exposure to the atmosphere. Do not return exposed material to the can. Store above freezing and below 100°F (38°C), do not dilute.
